• Developed plans to integrate new technologies into TIDCO’s structure

Site has received several awards.

• Assisted in emergency shutdown of the ammonia plant after an explosion, repairs and subsequent startup with minimum downtime.

RESEARCH HISTORY HIGHLIGHTS

• Air Pollution - Studied air pollution in large cities and the effect of topography on the ambient air quality, with respect to siting sold waste and hazardous waste incinerators. 1993
• High Temperature Spouted Bed Fluid Dynamics - Design and study of a high temperature spouted bed reactor for combustion of municipal solid wastes. Studied the fluid dynamics at high temperatures and compared them to room temperature data. Studied the stability of a spouted bed combustor with a draft tube, using propane as fuel. 1991-1992
• Spouted Bed Drying - Designed and developed a spouted bed dryer for slurry and paste drying. Studied hydrodynamics and drying characteristics of the dryer and the pastes. Studied the variables affecting the scale-up of such a dryer. Applied classical design of experiment theory in this project, and introduced it via a seminar series to other graduate students. 1988-1990

Newspaper Editor & Founding Member, The Rising Voice Minority Newspaper – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA 1990-1993

Founding member, Old Hilarians fete committee, which plans an annual fund raising party for my Alma Mater. Over $300,000 has been raised for the school in 3 years of existence.

I also mentor at least 1 female high school student each year, and have been doing this for the past 2 years.

Volunteer implementation of extra-curricular computer training classes for high school girls.

Member of the World Beat Music Festival Implementation Team, 1999. Implemented a 4-day music festival in 6 months.

Managed the Butterfly wing production at the Atlanta Olympics, 1996. Produced 840 large costume pieces in 8 days.
